Meet the Person Behind the Care
Hi, I’m Tara! My lifelong love of animals grew into a passion for helping pets and their people feel at ease, even when you’re apart. As a Fear-Free Certified Professional educated through the Victoria Stilwell Academy, I bring science-based, positive reinforcement and hands-on care experience to every pet I look after, with a special focus on reactive and anxious dogs.
Why Terra Nova Canines is Mosquito Creek’s Trusted Choice
✓ Fear-Free & Force-Free
I use positive, ethical methods in everything I do, so your pet is never pushed past their comfort zone while you’re away.
✓ Experience Beyond The Basics
My background in dog training and pet care helps me read subtle body language, spot signs of stress early, and understand what your pet is trying to tell me, which matters most with reactive and anxious dogs.
✓ Care That Fits Your Pets
Every pet has their own personality, routines, and quirks. I take the time to learn yours before you leave, then stick to their usual feeding, walks, and bedtime so the stay feels like home.
✓ A Partnership With You
You know your pet best. I listen to your concerns, send updates while you’re away, and follow your instructions closely so you can travel with confidence.
