Service Rates

Our live-in pet sitting pricing depends on what zone you are located in. Please see the map below.

  • Zone 1 (Green) - $110 per day

  • Zone 2 (Blue) - $120 per day

  • Zone 3 (Red) - $130 per day

  • Live-in care is a single daily rate for all household pets and their individual needs.

  • A premium of 20% per day will be added for any overnight care that falls on a stat holiday or long weekend.

  • Payment is due IN FULL upon reservation confirmation!

    Please Note: All dogs will need to be able to attend daycare during the day or have a scheduled drop-in visit midday. This drop-in visit can be provided by us (at an additional cost), a friend, family member or trusted pet care provider (dog walker etc). Some exceptions may apply, but typically we are not ok with the dogs in our care being left for extended periods of time.

Terra Nova Canines provides a private & unique, in-home experience for your pets! Whether you have booked a long weekend off, a work trip or a long-awaited vacation, we are here to help! We are a specialized option for pet owners and a perfect fit for those who may like or require a more experienced & educated pet care provider!

When we stay with your furry friends, they will enjoy personalized, fear-free care in the comfort of their own home! As we only take one sitting client at a time, it allows us the opportunity to adjust to your pet’s normal schedule and keep their day as consistent as possible. This helps to alleviate some of the stress of you being away and provides a better overall time for your animals!

Activities during their staycation at home may include: outdoor playtime, neighbourhood walks and scenic hikes. We also have snuffle mats & balls (made by the local company Wilke Plays!), wobble feeders and licky mats to help provide indoor enrichment as well!

Accountability & Transparency

In order to make sure you have a stress-free time away, we have implemented some tools to help keep your pups safe & help you feel secure while they are in our care.

Tractive Pet GPS Tracker

Tractive Pet GPS Trackers will be used during our care visits. Pet parents - and anyone they wish - will be given access for the duration of their reservation. This will not only allow you to see where your dogs are in real-time but it will also allow you to look back and know they have been provided with the proper care that you have asked for.

Daily Video Chats

If requested, we are happy to provide short video calls at the end of the day so that you can see your pets and know they are safe and sound.

Security Cameras

As always - we fully support the use of security cameras during our visits as long as they are disclosed beforehand. If you do not have any, we are happy to provide one for you during our stay.

Daily Updates

In addition, all pet parents will receive daily updates which can include photos, videos and a summary of their day! It’s important to us that you feel as comfortable as your four-legged family members do while in our care.

Please Note: Terra Nova Canines is a Fear Free Certified company. No prong, shock, choke collars or adversive tools will be used at any time. We will also do not use fear or intimidation to get your pets to do what we ask of them. We believe fully in positive reinforcement methods.

Step 3: After your Meet & Greet - RESERVE YOUR STAY!

Please note: You may book your Meet & Greet & reserve your Live-In Pet Care at the same time! However, reservations will NOT be confirmed until a Meet & Greet has been completed. Booking a Meet & Greet DOES NOT hold your reservation dates so scheduling one ASAP is advised!

FAQs

  • Yes! We are currently accepting new Live-In Pet Care clients! Get started by booking your FREE Meet & Greet!

  • We serve clients in and around the Surrey, BC area.

  • Here is our policy!

    1. Payment is due IN FULL upon confirmation of your reservation request. All payments are NON-REFUNDABLE.

    2. Cancellation by the Client with 14 or more days notice will allow for the booking cost to be credited to the account for future use.

    3. Failure by the Client to cancel by giving the minimum notice required (14+ days) or any cancellation during recognized holiday periods will result in a 100% cancellation fee of the total booking cost, unless such cancellation is caused by severe weather, death in the family or a medical emergency. In which case a credit will be held on file.

  • Yes, all Terra Nova Canines team members are bondable and insured through ProFur.

  • Absolutely! We provide one-on-one personal care for your pets and are able to work with most animals and their needs.

    Whether your pets experience separation anxiety, have reactivity or special medical issues, we are educated and experienced to take care of all these obstacles.

  • Yes! All clients are updated daily on their pets with pictures and a summary of how their day went. We use WhatsApp so that updates can be accessed via cell service or wifi!
