Service Rates

  • $100/night
    *Includes 1hr exercise per day

    - $25/night for each additional dog
    - $15/night     for each additional cat
    - $10/night for each small mammal/bird/reptile

    All live-in pet care includes: mail collection, plant watering & tidying.

    Stats/Holidays have an additional 20% premium per night.

  • $120/night
    *Includes 1hr exercise per day

    Advanced dog care is a good fit for those pups who are not able to be left alone for a max of 5 hrs. This can include dogs with separation anxiety, puppies or those with special medical conditions.

    - $25/night for each additional dog
    - $15/night     for each additional cat
    - $10/night     for each small mammal/bird/reptile

    All live-in pet care includes: mail collection, plant watering & tidying.

  • Additional pets can be discussed on a per case basis.

    We care for everything from birds, fish or reptiles to chickens, goats & horses.

Terra Nova Canines provides a private & unique, in-home experience for your pets! Whether you have booked a long weekend off, a work trip or a long-awaited vacation, we are here to help! We are a specialized option for pet owners and a perfect fit for those who may like or require a more experienced & educated pet care provider!

When we stay with your furry friends, they will enjoy personalized, fear-free care in the comfort of their own home! As we only take one sitting client at a time, it allows us the opportunity to adjust to your pet’s normal schedule and keep their day as consistent as possible. This helps to alleviate some of the stress of you being away and provides a better overall time for your animals!

Activities during their staycation at home may include: outdoor playtime, neighbourhood walks and scenic hikes. We also have snuffle mats & balls (made by the local company Wilke Plays!), wobble feeders and licky mats to help provide indoor enrichment as well!

In addition, all pet parents will receive a daily update which will include photos and a summary of their day! It’s important to us that you feel as comfortable as your four-legged family members do while in our care.

Please Note: Terra Nova Canines is a Fear Free Certified company. No prong, shock, choke collars or adversive tools will be used at any time. We will also do not use fear or intimidation to get your pets to do what we ask of them. We believe fully in positive reinforcement methods.

Please note: You may book your Meet & Greet & reserve your Live-In Pet Care at the same time! However, reservations will NOT be confirmed until a Meet & Greet has been completed. Booking a Meet & Greet DOES NOT hold your reservation dates so scheduling one ASAP is advised!

FAQs

  • Yes! We are currently accepting new Live-In Pet Care clients! Get started by booking your FREE Meet & Greet!

  • We serve clients from Vancouver to Abbotsford! Other locations, like Chilliwack and Vancouver Island, may be possible for an additional travel fee. Reach out to inquire!

  • Here is our policy!

    1. Payment is due IN FULL upon confirmation of your reservation request. All payments are NON-REFUNDABLE.

    2. Cancellation by the Client with 14 or more days notice will allow for the booking cost to be credited to the account for future use.

    3. Failure by the Client to cancel by giving the minimum notice required (14+ days) or any cancellation during recognized holiday periods will result in a 100% cancellation fee of the total booking cost, unless such cancellation is caused by severe weather, death in the family or a medical emergency. In which case a credit will be held on file.

  • Yes, we are bondable and insured through ProFur.

  • Absolutely! We provide one-on-one personal care for your pets and are able to work with most animals and their needs.

    Whether your pets experience separation anxiety, have reactivity or special medical issues, we are educated and experienced to take care of all these obstacles.

  • Yes! All clients are updated daily on their pets with pictures and a summary of how their day went.
