Housetraining

Puppies typically need to pee after:

  • Playing

  • Sleeping

  • Eating

  • Training

  • After being active

Note: Whether a puppy or an adult dog, if your pup was doing well with housetraining and suddenly they are having accidents in the home, you should consult your veterinarian as there could be an underlying medical issue causing this.

When you have a new puppy that you are looking to housetrain, you should always know where your puppy is. Whether you are supervising your new dog, they are in an area they are unlikely to go to the bathroom (like a crate) or in a specific mess-free area like a kitchen with pee pads, setting your pup up for success is key to housetraining!
