As we step into September, I want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you. The love this community has shown reminds me why I started Terra Nova Canines in the first place - and I’m truly grateful to continue sharing this journey with you and your pups. 💛🐾
🐶 New OVernight care structure
I’ve made some important changes to how my overnight care will run moving forward.
Please Note: All current boarding reservations will still be honored the way they were booked. No changes are needed.
In-Home Boarding
Starting September 1, 2025 I will no longer be accepting new boarding bookings. As much as I have loved providing a home-away-from-home for your pups, it’s not a service that is sustainable for me moving forward - beyond my current reservations.
Live-In Pet Sitting
Starting November 1, 2025 live-in pet sitting will return with some notable changes.
Full Coverage - All household pets will be covered under a single daily rate.
Daytime Care - All dogs will need to be able to attend daycare during the day or have a scheduled drop-in visit midday. This drop-in visit may be provided by us (at an additional cost) or can be provided by a friend, family member or other trusted pet care provider (dog walker etc). Some exceptions may apply, but typically I will not allow the dogs in my care being left for extended periods of time.
Zones - Pet sitting pricing will depend on what zone you are located in.
Zone 1 (Green) - $110 per day
Zone 2 (Blue) - $120 per day
Zone 3 (Red) - $130 per day
⏰ New TOOLS FOR ACCOUNTABILITY & TRANSPAReNCY
In order to make sure you have a stress-free time away, I have implemented some new tools to help keep your pups safe & help you feel secure while they are in my care. I’d like to thank some of the amazing clients who reached out to share their thoughts and suggestions that made this possible!
Tractive Pet GPS Tracker
I will be purchasing a Tractive Pet GPS Tracker to use during my care visits. Pet parents - and anyone they wish - will be given access for the duration of their reservation. This will not only allow you to see where your dogs are in real-time but it will also allow you to look back and know they have been provided with the care that you have asked for.
Daily Video Chats
If requested, I am happy to provide short video calls at the end of the day so that you can see your pets and know they are safe and sound.
Security Cameras
As always - I fully support the use of security cameras during my visits as long as they are disclosed beforehand. If you do not have any, and would like, I am happy to provide one for you during my stay.

To celebrate the unofficial end of summer - All daycare packages & live-in pet sitting reservations made between August 29 and September 1 will be 15% off!
This discount should automatically be applied when you book through your client portal.
