About us

Tara’s love of animals began as a young child. She was always helping ‘lost’ bugs, or injured animal and was fascinated by the world around her. As a child, she grew up with a number of different animals and loved learning about each new critter that she had the chance to meet. Everything from fish to birds - hampsters to cats - and eventually a dog!

Terra Nova Canines was created was originally created with the mission in mind to be able to help as many dog owners as possible find safe, comforting and reliable care for their four-legged friends.

While working with her boarding clients, Tara continued her education, focusing more on training. Caring for dogs for any length of time, meant she was working with them and training them whether intentional or not. After a number of successes with those in her care, she knew training was the next step she wanted to take in her career.

Currently enrolled in the Victoria Stilwell Academy and completing her dog training certification (with an April 2022 graduation date), Tara can not wait to help you and your pups build a stronger foundation and set you and your four-legged family member up for success!
