'Sit'

Step 1: With a treat in your hand, use it as a lure to direct your pup's nose up and slightly backwards.

Step 2: Once their bottom touches the ground, 'mark' and treat

Step 3: Do this a few times and once reliable, remove the treat, just use the hand motion, 'mark' and treat

Step 4: Once you are confident that your pup is able to follow your hand signal, start adding your verbal cue 'sit' just as their bottom touches the ground. Then 'mark' and treat!
